Joy
We are to be disciples, Children of God. God is already with us. He is all around us. Our entire life, every person we meet is not about the joy on their face. It's the Joy on God's face.

Like any good technology person, I have a tech arsenal that I use nearly every day. For this article; I am not going to include the technology I use for my job, more what I use in my day-to-day personal life. Granted some of the hardware and software do overlap.
I've also stayed away from listing the staples that everyone seems to have such as the streaming platforms.
The items are linked to their respective product pages. I am not compensated in any way for providing these links.
I’ve always been a casual hockey fan. Never one to really know on a daily basis what was going on with the local team. But, would go to a game here and there.
Football on the other hand, well Football is the passion sport. Watching every time our team was on, up to date on the latest transactions..etc.
Earlier this year we went to an NHL game and really enjoyed it. This led to going to two more games that week. And even more in the following weeks. Since we were going to so many games I made a decision to purchase season tickets.
We also attended an NFL game. Part of me had no interest in going to the NFL game. Aside from having to sit outside in the elements, I just couldn’t be bothered. We went, had fun. But, I would have been content with not going. This got me thinking as to why? as I've always enjoyed NFL games before.
Hockey is just different. In my opinion, it is truly a team, fan, and family-focused sport. Especially when attending games in person. At NFL games I always have this uncomfortable feeling that something is going to happen in the stands. I don't get this feeling at NHL games. I feel comfortable at NHL games, safe if you will. Fans being courteous to each other at NHL games is the norm, not the exception.
You can wear pretty much any team jersey at an NHL game and not have to worry about being bullied for doing so. Try that at an NFL game.
NHL Players seem to really appreciate the fans being in attendance, you feel a part of the game, a part of the team. NFL games do not feel like this. When an NHL team wins a game, they raise their sticks to the crowd in acknowledgment, NFL players seldom acknowledge the fans after a big win.
I've also become exhausted with how the NFL puts the product before the well-being of the players and league conduct. I won't go into specifics here but we all know of certain behaviors being ignored for the product. And, player health and safety are second to the product that is on the field.
The game itself, I’m enjoying watching a hockey game a heck of a lot more than watching football. It has to do with a lot of things. The positive energy, the teamwork, the never-quit attitude, never-ending opportunities to win a game, the lack of ME versus WE attitude.
In other words, hockey is more aligned with my core values.
Today, Sunday, I have no idea who won the NFL games yesterday. I have no clue who is playing today. What I do know, I am going to a hockey game tonight and I cannot wait!
I'm a technology enthusiast, currently a Technical Account Manager at a SaaS provider. I've held various technical roles across different verticals for quite a few years. Technology is and also has been my passion and has simply been awesome being a part of its maturity.
My goal with this blog is simple, whatever I feel like writing about, I will write about. No set theme.
